The inner tent measures 260cm on the ground, and has got a 10cm high bathtub-floor, supported by sewn in poles. Even in a height of 30cm above the floor it offers 220cm of lengt. This is plenty, even for two very huge sleepers with thick pads and winter gears. If you can cope with less sapce for each sleeper, you can even put the pole out of the middle and use it with three adults. Sleeping two grown ups and a child can fit the edge opposite to the inners entrance. Loads of gears fit underneath the walls, and you will find some place for your four-legged-friend, no matter if you prefer inside or outside the inner tent.
On top of that, the inner tent leaves a vestibule beneath the Flysheets entrance, which is big enough for entering the inner through a half closed fly zipper, preventing rain getting into the inner tent. Leave your wet shoes and Bags in the vestibule or cook your meals there.
Too keep the very high wind stability, while adding 30cm of height compared to 2014SilHexpeak, we provided 5 addidional tension points on the flysheet. If nessecary, peg the tent down with five additional Guylines and five additional tension points on the flysheet to a total of 16pegs. The lower part of the nest is made of windtight nylon fabric, so in addition of the highly adjustable pitching height of the flysheet you can perfectly regulate the airflow, but prevent winds to take away the warmth of you sleeping area. Connections between nest and fly are all highly adjustable to react to different ground conditions, allow variations on pitching height and make finding pegging points easy. If you wish for it, the delivered floorstraps help you finding the right shape while setting up. A hook takes the tension from the two way zipper at the entrance, and a toploop gives the chance of hanging the tent to trees, branches or whatever will fit.
The SilHexpeak F6 is made from siliconized ripstopnylon. The seams are underlayed with a robust webbing that prevents a very high stability to the whole tent. If needed, seamsealant is supplied with the tent.
It is delivered with a sac, velcro rim, seamsealant and 6pcs 180mm y pegs. You will need a pole of ~160cm, our tp165 is suitable, for high winds and snow we recommend the guylineset "green" with cleat sdjusters to knot into the provided slopes, and additional 180mm y pegs.
